A Windows XP machine built for time travel

Reconstructing a stable era-specific stack to replay old games and study the interfaces that formed me.

Version-locking nostalgia

The project is a functional Windows XP gaming machine: compatible hardware, period-correct drivers, a controlled software stack, and a carefully curated library.

Compatibility work is archaeology. It makes visible how much modern computing hides — and how distinctive the interaction language of an era can feel when restored on the hardware it expected.
